Fault Tolerant Connectivity

Recent evolution in carrier networks allows delivery of voice, fax, internet, and private VPN connectivity on the same set of circuits, or “pipes”. One way to achieve a “fail-soft” environment is achieved by bonding together multiple T1s which carry all flavors of connectivity. With N bonded circuits, even loss of N-1 branches retains voice, fax, and internet connectivity. These solutions make sense even at low office headcounts.
