Ben Stiegler - CEO and Founder
Ben's history in telephony dates back to 1964, , when his repeated calls to Bell Labs to ask how things worked resulted in a surprise delivery of surplus Bell System equipment to his back porch. This made him the only 4th grader in Chicago to have constructed a private phone network in his home. A 1977 graduate of Carleton College, he also holds Masters degrees in Computer Science and Human Factors Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
His IT experience includes modeling brain processes in LISP, integrating clinical and medical research equipment for real time signal processing, and building artifical intelligence applications for medical reasoning and aquaculture management. He has designed and supported networks since 1973. In 1981, Ben was the youngest person in the US to earn CDP Certification from the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals.
Ben serves as our liason to the FBI InfraGard program, on the International Advisory Board of Phones+, and is a frequent blogger and speaker about the industry. He is the father of 2. In his spare time he plays French horn in 2 local bands, and dreams about competing in the US Crossword Championships.
